They'd learned the running stitch before and were introduced to the back stitch this time as a sturdier alternative. I'm surprised by how quickly they got the hang of it.
It was very satisfying to turn the piece inside out, fill it with scraps of cloth, and complete the final stitching.
These guys were so pleased with their handiwork. Well done, y'all.
Their next goal: to learn to use the sewing machine.
