Playing With Food.

This morning, we told our children that we'd be having a special dinner to celebrate the Feast day of St Joseph.

As dinner was being prepared, they took turns sauntering into the kitchen to check out what we were having for dinner. They surveyed the sausages, steak and potatoes cooking.

"We have potatoes all the time."

"I thought you said we were having a special dinner?"

After grace was said, we told them. "St Joseph was a carpenter, and worked with his hands everyday. We are having dinner without cutlery tonight and eating with our hands."

Realisation dawned on their faces and they got excited when they noted that the potatoes had been cut into cubes, courtesy of Papa. They had just been given permission to play with their food.

Village.

   Our meat boy.

"This is going to be a memorable meal."

Saint Joseph is close to our hearts as we placed our family under the care of St Joseph a couple of years ago. He's also a saint whose strength lies in his quiet faithfulness, a quality we can do with more of.

St Joseph, Pray for us!
