Time Outside.

We shooed the children outside for some fresh air this evening. Sleeping bags made for a cosy hideout in our fort. 

One thing led to another and we found ourselves having dinner up there too! Chicken wings (not pictured), sandwiches (with freshly baked Japanese milk bread) for the children and dahl + rice for the adults. 

It was an interesting dinner, for sure. Also interesting was this morning's harvest; white carrot (not parsnip) was historically farmed before orange carrots became fashionable. We're gonna be eating a bit of history!
